Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Dario (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Dario Slack app and dashboard, how we use it, and the choices you have. Dario is operated by Deepnote.

What we collect

• Slack messages. Dario processes messages in channels you explicitly invite it to (and direct messages sent to it). Channels are allow-listed: messages in channels Dario has not been added to are never read.
• Workspace configuration. Channel settings, proactivity preferences, instructions, and knowledge you add in the dashboard.
• Usage and feedback data. Decisions Dario makes (including when it stays silent), token usage, latency, and feedback signals such as 👍/👎, approvals, and mutes.
• Account data. Workspace name, IDs, and the credentials needed to operate the Slack app. Bot tokens are encrypted at rest.

How we use it

We use this data solely to provide and improve Dario for your workspace: deciding when to help, generating answers, enforcing rate limits, showing you what Dario did in the dashboard, and metering usage. Message content — including any personal information it contains — is sent to our language-model provider to evaluate and answer it.

Model providers

Dario uses third-party language-model providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) to process message content. We send only the minimum context needed to make a decision or produce an answer. We do not use your data to train models.

Retention and deletion

Conversation logs, decisions, and usage records are retained while your workspace uses Dario so the dashboard can show history. You can request export or deletion of your workspace’s data at any time by contacting us, and uninstalling the app stops all processing immediately.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Slack credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel. Every action Dario takes on your behalf is recorded in an audit log.

Your choices

• Remove Dario from any channel at any time — processing for that channel stops.
• Use shadow mode to evaluate Dario without it posting anything.
• Mute Dario or turn proactivity off per channel or workspace-wide.
• Contact us to access, export, or delete your data.
